About
Andrea L. Monteiro, MSc, Ph.D., is an incoming Bridge to the Faculty Scholar in the Department of Pharmacy Practice within the College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois Chicago. She graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago with a doctorate in Pharmacy in May 2022. In her dissertation project, supported by the EuroQol Research Foundation, she examined advances in the field of health measurement and valuation, specifically the development of more comprehensive descriptive systems and the valuation of expanded descriptive systems that comprise "bolt-on" dimensions.
Her research program currently focuses on developing and validating patient-reported outcomes, establishing health technology assessment best practices, and incorporating patients' perspectives into outcomes research.
