About
Mayra Guerrero will join the Department of Psychology as a Bridge to Faculty Scholar in the fall of 2022. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the City College of New York and a Master’s and Ph.D. in Community Psychology from DePaul University. Recently, she completed her postdoctoral training at the Research Consortium for Gender-Based Violence at Michigan State University.
Dr. Guerrero’s research centers on examining the social and contextual factors that promote the well-being of marginalized populations using multi-level approaches and frameworks. Her goal is to collaborate directly with communities to develop strategies and interventions that target health disparities and lead to sustainable change.
