Join writer and performer R.C. Riley for a lecture and dinner conversation on intersection of art and healing.
Art and its various forms can be a phenomenal conduit for this healing journey we all must embark upon at some point in our lives. Through the expression of art - such as performance art - one can reflect and demonstrate the discomforts of the pain while simultaneously releasing it and embracing the resulting triumph that healing offers.
Riley will focus on the ways in which pain can be used as a catalyst for healing in many ways, including those one never realized healing was warranted.
Dinner will be provided.
Open to public, students at the University of Illinois - Chicago receive priority.
