Afro-descendancy and Mis / representations in Mexican Popular Culture

Presented in partnership with Latin American and Latino Studies Program and the National Museum of Mexican Art

What are popular representations of Blackness in Mexican Popular Culture?

Join Crystal Galván, LALS graduate student to reflect on Black history in Mexico and the hidden meanings behind El Negrito. Learn and ask: Why does this matter?
