About

Dr. Naber is a Professor in Gender and Women's Studies, Global Asian Studies, and Anthropology. She is author of Arab America (NYU Press) and co-editor of books such as Race and Arab Americans,  Arab and Arab American Feminisms (Syracuse Press), and The Color of Violence (Duke) University Press). Her current two research projects address the impact of police violence on mothers of color in Chicago with the organization MAMAS and methodologies for conducting community-engaged research with NP Press’ Critical Humanities series. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Palestine Studies and is an expert author for the United Nations.
