Jennifer Brier is professor of Gender & Women’s Studies and History at UIC. She is author of Infectious Ideas: U.S. Political Response to the AIDS Crisis (UNC, 2009) and has curated numerous historical exhibitions, including Out in Chicago, for the Chicago History Museum, and “I’m Still Surviving,” www.stillsurviving.net, a transmedia living women’s history of HIV/AIDS. In 2022, History Moves began a public history partnership with Brooklyn-based Long COVID Justice, an organization committed to growing the power of people living with Long COVID and associated conditions. With support from the Mellon Foundation’s Humanities Without Walls Consortium, “Listening for the Long Haul: A Living History of Long COVID,” has begun the process of collectively interviewing more than 30 people living with Long COVID.
