New dashboard to track university spending with diverse business owners
To promote diversity, equity and inclusion in university purchasing, the Office of Procurement Services for the University of Illinois System is launching a new Diversity Dashboard at the end of March 2024.
The Diversity Dashboard, using Tableau software, gathers annually reported data on university purchasing. Users will be able to track how much the university system spends with businesses owned by women, people with disabilities and people of color and find opportunities for the university to engage these businesses. Users will be able to see total expenditures by university campus, school, department and other categories.
The University of Illinois System participates in the state of Illinois Business Enterprise Program, which promotes an inclusive, equitable and competitive business environment through supporting businesses owned by historically underrepresented groups.
