The UIC Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC) is kicking off its “Race to 20” fundraiser this semester to commemorate the center’s time at UIC and to raise funds to assist with its programs and services. The fundraiser is part of the theme of this upcoming academic year, which is also the lead-up to the 20th anniversary of AARCC.

The center opened its doors in April 2005 and—for nearly two decades—has engaged UIC students, faculty, staff and the Chicagoland community through programs, services, partnerships and curricula using an Asian American lens.

AARCC’s 20th Anniversary Celebration will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 in room 301 of Student Center East (SCE), located at 750 S. Halsted. The UIC community is invited, including alumni and Chicago partners, to attend this event.
