Join Gallery 400 and UIC Disability Cultural Center Director Margaret Fink for a virtual tour of Reckless Rolodex, our on-view exhibition celebrating Lawrence Steger, a Chicago-based performance artist who explored desire and sexuality in his work until his untimely death in 1999 due to AIDS-related complications. Instead of a retrospective of Steger’s work, Reckless Rolodex presents contemporary artists responding to his legacy through artworks and performances. This tour is part of an ongoing collaboration and experiment in making gallery spaces remotely accessible.
ID: Brilliantly colored light fades from magenta to red to blue-green, with three yellow green and one red line radiating out from a single point at the bottom. The background is a mottled polished stone floor. Black text with white highlighting reads “Reckless Rolodex Virtual Tour, Friday, February 3, 3-4:00pm CT, Virtual via Zoom.” White Gallery 400 and Disability Cultural Center logos are at the bottom.
