About the presenter:
Marcos Aguilar (he/him), an avid adventurer, hails from Ecuador and moved to the United States around the age of seven. His thirst for knowledge is reflected in his educational pursuits, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and a Master's in Sign Language Education (MASLED) from Gallaudet University. Spending around four to five years in Ecuador, he played a pivotal role in establishing the nation's inaugural Sign Language dictionary, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing the lives of Deaf communities.

Image Description (flyer): “Unlearning Ableism” with ableism crossed out and replaced with “Audism” and “Deaf Culture with Marcos Aguilar” in bold black text. Below are details with a black, blue, pink, and orange De’Via mural in the background showing a large eye at the top. There’s a photo of Marcos Aguilar, a person with glasses and a short beard, who smiles at the camera. He’s wearing a beige beanie and a dark gray jacket. At the bottom is a logo for our co-sponsors, CASL, a circle with two hands making a heart shape with the index fingers and thumbs.
