Download iCal FileThe City of Chicago has long been at the heart of undocumented organizing and migrant-led mobilizations. In the early and mid-2000s, Chicago and UIC were key sites for undocumented youth activism.
Join us for a roundtable discussion featuring former UIC student activists as we revisit their role in local and national undocumented immigration social movements. The panelists will share personal stories, lessons learned from their organizing as students with the UIC Fearless Undocumented Alliance (FUA), and more.
This special program is part of the Celebrating LALS 50 Years anniversary commemoration. FUA Archives will be made available to explore.
Date: Wednesday, October 16
Time: 12-2pm
Where: Latino Cultural Center (LC B2)
