Join us for an open art studio with José Rosa, Chicago artist.

Participants will create artwork that shares their stories about how they are experiencing and responding to environmental and climate change issues affecting their lives. This program is part of the Climate and Environmental Justice Crossing Latinidades research project and attendees who identify as Latinx will have the option to participate in the research by consenting to have their artwork and stories contribute to the project's digital public archive. Research participants must be 18 years of age or older.

José Rosa is a visual artist and graphic designer centering duality. Through his upbringing between multiple cities in the U.S. and a small rural town in Puerto Rico, José has learned to appreciate the beauty in all things. Using a minimalist approach, in-depth research, and the influence of cultural familiarities, José’s preferred mediums are typography, logo design, and posters as tools to decolonize design. @jrosadesign

Supplies will be provided. There is a limited capacity for this in-person program, so please RSVP below.
