deCRIPtion is a storytelling and poetry workshop series designed by and with disability community in mind. Dinner is offered for the in-person workshop and a zoom alternative is available for those who prefer or need a virtual option.
The upcoming sessions are titled “Crip Manifestos for Living: A writing workshop in community”.

This series of events are supported by the Arts & Culture Project at Access Living, Bodies of Work: Network of Disability Art and Culture, the Disability Culture Activism Lab (DCAL), the Disability Cultural Center at UIC and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.
ACCESS INFO: Food will be provided for in-person workshops with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. The workshop space is in an accessible building and more directions on access will be emailed ahead of workshops. ASL or CART services available upon request. Virtual workshops will have auto-captioning or live captioning depending on availability and requests for captioning and/or ASL.
