About

Keisha Ann Lopes is a second-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She is from Denver, Colorado and attended the University of Kansas for undergrad. She is currently serving as the President of the Glenn T. Johnson chapter of BLSA, Treasurer of the International Law Society, the Chair of the UIC Racial Minority Coalition, and an Editor for the Midwest Black Law Students Association Journal of Law and Policy. She has contributed written pieces to the American Bar Association and works as a graduate assistant for the pipeline program through the law school. During her first year, she served as an immigration law clerk, and now serves as a judicial law clerk for the Illinois Appellate Court judge, Justice Carl Walker, of the First District. Outside of school, Keisha Ann loves to engage with the arts, cook, and watch college basketball!
