Presented by the UIC Freshwater Lab and UIC Latino Cultural Center

Join us as we learn from water affordability experts from Detroit People’s Water Board and Chicago advocates as we view and discuss the film “Whose Water?” which chronicles the movement for safe and affordable water and sanitation across five drastically different regions in the United States.

"WHOSE WATER?" FILM SCREENING & DISCUSSION | 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Through the stories of communities fighting for safe, affordable water and sanitation, the film examines the industrial and governmental systems that prevent so many people from accessing this basic necessity of life and offers concrete solutions to address this unprecedented human rights crisis.

Post-film discussion facilitator:
Briana Parker, Associate Director, Elevate Energy.

Panelists will examine local, state, and national legislation about water affordability. The post-film discussion will include Whose Water? filmmaker, Kate Levy.
*Film approximately 90 minutes.
