Download iCal FileThe UIC African-American Cultural Center, UIC Asian American Resource and Cultural Center, and UIC Honors College will be sponsoring a virtual mediated discussion with UIC Alumna Hannah Chaddha on Thursday, February 10that 3PM CST.
The session “Race, Representation, and Life in the Big Brother House” will delve into topics surrounding Chaddha’s experiences as a contestant on the popular and long-running CBS show Big Brother, as well as her insights into her identities as a Gen-Z Black and South Asian woman in the public eye and her journey in education, dance, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.
Chaddha graduated from UIC in 2020 with a BS in biological sciences and joined the 23rdseason of Big Brother, where she became a member of the prominent “Cookout” alliance. This latest season of the show culminated in Milwaukee-based lawyer Xavier Prather being crowned as the winner, a historic moment that marked the first time a Black player had won since the reality series began airing in 2000.
This event will be held via the Zoom platform and is open to the public. Zoom auto-generated captions will be available.
